It holds the bottle upside down and pours into the glass through a brass tap underneath. Whisky, vodka, raki or liqueur: most standard bottles between 0.35 and 1 litre will fit. Nobody has to lift the bottle; everyone at the table pours their own.
How many taps?
Choose by how many drinks are served at once. A single tap suits one person's corner; two and three taps are the common choice for home bars; four and five are for large tables and venues. Tap type is brass or ball valve. On both, every surface the drink touches is brass: non-reactive, rust-free and easy to clean.
Name engraving
A name, a date or a short message is engraved into the wood at no extra cost. That is what turns a drink stand into a gift: for a birthday, a promotion, an anniversary or a new home.
How it is made
The body is cut from solid spruce and pine, then finished by torching (shou sugi ban) or varnish. Every piece is built by hand after the order arrives, so the grain and the tone are never quite the same twice.
