Product description
It takes its name from the way it stands. The pipe leaves the wooden base and rises in two switchbacks; at the very top, like a snake pushing its head forward, it holds the bulb horizontally and throws the light out in front.
The bulb faces sideways
The bulb does not hang down, it sits horizontally. With a pear-shaped bulb whose filament is on show, the light reaches toward the surface in front rather than into the room, a low, warm glow for a bookshelf or a console.
Raw, unpainted metal
The pipes are left unpainted; the casting marks on the elbows and the grey-black texture stay just as they are. The base is a dark rectangular block of wood, its texture its own on every piece.

No. Engraving your name or text is included in the price, at no extra cost.
When is my order shipped?
We ship all orders within 3 business days. Delivery time then depends on your courier and region.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes. If you like, we wrap it gift-ready in kraft paper and twine.
Can I return it?
You can return within 15 days of delivery. However, items engraved with a name or text are made specifically for you and are not eligible for return.
Is the bulb included?
Yes. On lit products the bulb is included; we ship the piece as you see it in the photos.
Are the glasses and bottles in the photos included?
No. The glassware, bottles, drinks and similar objects in the photos are for display only and are not included.
Which way does the bulb face?
Horizontally. It does not hang down; it reaches forward from the end of the body.
Are the pipes painted?
No, they are left with a raw metal finish; the casting marks and lettering on the surface stay visible.
Where do I switch it on?
With the knurled knob on top of the brass holder.
